ITSMA Marketing Excellence Awards Recognize EMC Services Marketing

EMC Corporation, the world leader in info rmation storage and management, today announced it has received two prestigious Diamond Marketing Excellence Awards from the ITSMA (Information Technology Services Marketing Association) in the categories of “Developing New Solutions” and “Improving the Customer Experience”. The awards were presented on Oct. 20, 2004 to representatives from EMC Services at the ITSMA 10th Anniversary Marketing Conference in Cambridge , Mass. Through the Marketing Excellence Awards, ITSMA recognizes outstanding achievement in marketing technology services and solutions.
ITSMA recognized EMC’s Services organization for a second consecutive year, granting it a Diamond Marketing Excellence Award in the “Developing New Solutions” category, for its “Accelerating Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)” campaign designed to help customers transform their environments to achieve the benefits from an enterprise-wide ILM strategy.
In addition, the EMC Services Marketing team focused on the Legato software support services was recognized with a Diamond Marketing Excellence Award in the category of “Improving the Customer Experience,” for its campaign focused on keeping the “Customer First: Providing World-Class Support” that resulted in significant gains in customer satisfaction ratings.

EMC made key investments in infrastructure, organizational alignment, process improvement, program enhancements and the customer experience which led to this and other third-party endorsements of EMC’s excellence in services.
