MONTREAL, Oct. 7, 2005 — CN announced today that members of its police force in Canada have ratified a two-year contract extension to their current three-year labour agreement with the company.
The new agreement provides for enhanced wage and benefits in the fourth and fifth years of the Canadian National Railways Police Association (CNRPA) contract, which now expires on Dec. 31, 2008. The CNRPA represents 75 CN police officers.
The five-year term of the agreement is consistent with recent collective agreement extensions at CN, a development that provides greater labour relations stability for the company and its unionized employees.
