National Award Recognizes Company’s Commitment to Associates and Communities
ROSELAND, New Jersey — March 20, 2008 — Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP) today announced it has been added to the prestigious Companies That Care Honor Roll. Companies included on the Honor Roll have demonstrated 10 characteristics that signify their strong commitment to their employees and their communities, as determined by Center for Companies That Care, a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for employees and communities.
The Honor Roll is selected by an independent panel of veteran professionals from a variety of industries. ADP, like the other companies named to the list, excels in the 10 Characteristics inherent to a Company That Cares, which include: supporting work/life balance for associates, providing a great work environment and competitive compensation and benefits, and supporting company involvement in the community.
“Our associates are at the core of our success as a company and we are proud of our efforts to ensure each associate is valued and celebrated for their talents,” said Gary Butler, president and CEO of ADP. “This national award recognizes our commitment to our associates and our communities, and we were also proud to share this honor with several of our clients who also appear on the Honor Roll.”
“We were immediately impressed with ADP’s commitment to, and delivery of, these 10 characteristics and their ability to be so closely involved with so many communities in which they are located,” said Marci Koblenz, cofounder and president of Center for Companies That Care. “We are extremely pleased that a growing number of organizations — such as ADP — are focusing on their social responsibility, a focus that sustains individuals, families and communities, and can give them an advantage with customers, employees, and investors.”
Those named to the 2008 list feature U.S. companies that are large, medium, and small, public and private, for-profit and not-for-profit, in diverse industries across 18 states. A full list of recognized companies appears at www.companies-that-care.org.
The Honor Roll is announced annually in conjunction with the annual launch of CAREDAYS™, a month-long national initiative to engage individuals and employers in activities addressing a significant societal issue in our communities.
