Austin, Texas – April 1, 2008 — Troux Technologies today announced that the company’s strategic IT planning software, Troux versions 7.1 and later, has successfully achieved the standards for TOGAF 8 Tool Support Certification, as established by The Open Group. Maintained by The Open Group Architecture Forum, TOGAF enables organisations to achieve the right balance between IT efficiency and innovation, while taking into consideration the constantly changing needs of the business environment. Customers looking to base their IT and enterprise architecture (EA) on the open, industry-standard TOGAF method can now turn to Troux on the basis of certified conformance with TOGAF standards.

With TOGAF certification, Troux is now one of only a few companies worldwide with software products for use with this industry standard, open enterprise architecture. IT executives, enterprise architects or other stakeholders in strategic IT planning need not compromise on their preferred processes to get a single product that meets all of their needs.

Only Troux provides ‘out-of-the-box’ products built on the Troux Transformation Platform to unlock the power of EA and accelerate use cases such as: Application Consolidation; Application Reduction; SOA Investment Planning; IT Simplification; IT Standards Management; Outsourcing; and Infrastructure Consolidation.

“Many Troux customers are already using the popular TOGAF approach for the design, planning, implementation and governance of enterprise architecture where we help them to scale the benefits of this approach and drive far greater economies of scale,” said Bill Cason, chief technology officer, Troux Technologies. “This certification sends a message to others using or considering TOGAF that we’re ready to help them too.”

“TOGAF is becoming well-established as the de facto standard for developing and implementing enterprise architecture worldwide,” said Allen Brown, CEO, The Open Group. “Momentum continues to grow for TOGAF due to the contributions of companies like Troux Technologies. The best practices and processes Troux helps to develop enable all of us to derive more business value from our enterprise architecture.”
