EADS Socata today announced the appointment of Charlie Holomek as Vice President – Customer Support for its EADS Socata North America business operation in the United States.
The announcement was made during the Sun ’n Fun Fly-In at Lakeland, Florida, where the company is exhibiting its new TBM 850 very fast turboprop aircraft.
Holomek is an accomplished engineer with 35 years of aeronautical experience in both the U.S. and abroad. During his career, he has occupied various positions in aircraft design, manufacture and customer support, working at companies such as Cessna Aircraft, Bombardier Learjet and Boeing Military Aircraft. While at Bombardier Learjet, he was the Manager of Customer Support Engineering, and also started operations for the company in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“Our focus is on further increasing the level of customer service in the U.S., and Charlie Holomek is a valuable addition to our staff because of his considerable hands-on experience,” said Nicolas Chabbert, the President of EADS SOCATA North America.
“Charlie will assist us in meeting our U.S. market customer support goals, and he will become an important link with our headquarters in Tarbes, France,” added Raphael Maître, EADS Socata’s Vice President – Customer Service. “We will benefit from Charlie’s outstanding skills in the fields of technical support, spares management, heavy airframe repairs and customer relationship management.”
Holomek will assume his new functions at the end of May, and will be based at EADS Socata North America’s Pembroke Pines, Florida facility.
He succeeds Bruno Mandon, who returns to France to manage major maintenance contracts. Mandon will be responsible for the line and base maintenance of the fleet of aircraft operated by the French Air Force in Cognac,. Socata TB 30 Epsilon and Grob 120E-F trainers.
