Deutsche Bank has received the Islamic Banking Special Award for “The Biggest and the Most Active Custodian Bank for Islamic Funds” by Karim Business Consulting, the largest Sharia’a consulting firm in Indonesia, at the Islamic Finance Award and Cup 2008, held on 10 May in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is the Bank’s second consecutive Islamic Banking Special Award following its win as “Most Innovative Custodian Bank – First Islamic Custodian Bank” in 2007.
The Islamic Finance Forum is an annual event where industry players in Indonesia meet to exchange ideas and best practices on how to develop innovative and new Islamic finance products in order to promote cooperation among Sharia’a businesses at the domestic, regional and international level.
