Dr. Josef Ackermann, Deutsche Bank’s Chairman of the Board and the Group Executive Committee has been installed for a one-2022 term as the President of the International Monetary Conference (IMC). Alessandro Profumo, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Group was appointed as the IMC’s Vice President.
The election and installation of the new officers came at the conclusion of the 2008 Conference in Barcelona, Spain. The 2009 conference will be taking place in Kyoto, Japan.
The IMC was founded on the initiative of the U.S. Bankers Association after World War II to discuss the international monetary policy and global financial issues. Today, the IMC is composed of 74 member financial services companies from 27 countries.
