D1 Video capture, H.264 compression and Internet Protocol stack run on powerful Blackfin Processor
Hefei, China(6/19/2008) – BesoVideo Co, Ltd. today announced the availability of the BVIPCAM-500A, a compact, powerful digital video surveillance solution designed for wired or wireless IP networks. The design is based on an Analog Devices Blackfin BF561, dual core processor that performs the system level control and IP networking functions as well as the video encoding tasks. BesoVideo is a design services business focusing on hardware and software development for the embedded video markets. Previous BesoVideo designs for digital video recorders have been adopted by system OEMs and equipment manufacturers for use in China and Hong Kong.
The BVIPCAM-500A extends BesoVideo’s design portfolio into cameras and wireless products.
This is consistent with major technology trends in the surveillance market toward greater intelligence at the camera node and the adoption of wireless technologies in networks.
