· Sale of the asset manager Veritas for €15 million
Boursorama sells Veritas for €15 million to Augur Capital, Frankfurt. Veritas, the German asset management subsidiary of Boursorama Group managed €920 million in assets at the end of March 2008. This sale will generate €7 million in capital gains for the Group.
· Sale of non core activities by OnVista AG for €27 million
OnVista AG, of which 82% is held by Boursorama Group, has sold the advertising sales firms Ad2Net and Ligatus as well as the medical portal www.onmeda.de for a total of €27 million. These sales will reduce the acquisition goodwill of OnVista AG by €17 million.
· Launch of the www.onvista-bank.de website
These disposals of non core businesses for a global amount of €42 million represent a key milestone in the reorganization of Boursorama’s activities in Germany. On the business development side, Boursorama has recently announced the launch of the www.onvista-bank.de website that replaces the www.fimatex.de website, through which Boursorama was present in Germany since 1997 in online brokerage.
After this reorganization, the Group can now focus on its core business: the direct sale to retail customers of financial products thanks to a leading financial information website.
