Improved Planning and Product Placement Helping Specialty Retailer Boost Financial Performance

Christopher & Banks, a retailer of women’s apparel, has implemented Oracle(r) Retail planning applications and Oracle Fusion Middleware to help increase gross margins and support its growing business.
Christopher & Banks has more than 825 locations nationwide across its Christopher & Banks, C.J. Banks and Acorn store formats.
The retailer recognized that by leveraging technology, it could refine its winning merchandising strategy and improve future merchandise gross margins through improved stock positioning and increased inventory turns.
With the help of Minnesota-based Oracle consulting firm Motion International, Christopher & Banks has deployed Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning, Oracle Retail Item Planning, Oracle Retail Assortment Execution and Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting.
The Oracle solution provides the retailer with an integrated, scalable platform that is helping management make more precise, profitable business decisions.
The retailer chose to implement Oracle based largely on the scalability and speed to value of the applications. Christopher & Banks has also recently completed the implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite of financial applications.
