Universal Software Development Platform Plus New Pre-Built Skinnable Applications Drastically Reduce the Time and Cost to Develop Mobile Services
Paris, France, 8 July, 2008 – Streamezzo, creator of the Universal Software Platform™ that overcomes mobile industry fragmentation and powers the Mobile Internet, today announced the release of the initial four elements of its Streamezzo Skinnable Application Suite™. Effective today, independent software developers, system integrators and mobile agencies can experience a compelling new alternative for developing mobile services.
Streamezzo has released the following four skinnable applications for use in developing compelling new rich media-based mobile applications and services:
1. Music Player
2. VoD Player
3. RSS Reader
4. Photo Gallery
These standalone applications can be easily deployed for use on all mobile operating systems. Alternatively, each can be branded and customized with full skins, and two or more applications can be combined for more robust offerings. Now, developers and mobile development agencies can rapidly create and deploy fully branded mobile websites, news portals, video and music entertainment portals, and can easily integrate these applications with existing mobile services.
“Today’s announcement marks the first in a series of announcements from Streamezzo and our development community – each demonstrating our commitment to drive mobile industry innovation, dramatically reduce development costs, and drive towards a ubiquitous mobile services environment,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Struyven CEO of Streamezzo. “Our entire Universal Software Platform has been designed from the ground up to deliver the ultimate rich media user experience on virtually any mobile devices, and our Skinnable Application Suite supports that strategy. The mobile development community can expect many such announcements as we move aggressively towards a collective mobile software environment that not only reduces development time and cost by up to 60%, but ultimately overcomes the technical fragmentation that is restraining the growth of our entire industry.”
Coming soon:
Streamezzo also announced it has near-term plans to release a series of Premium Components to developers to complement its Skinnable Application Suite and further streamline the development of custom mobile applications.
