Paris, November 19, 2008 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. (TP) have signed an agreement whereby TP will offer the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE) system to its largest business customers. The agreement will enable TP’s customers to take advantage of the operator’s rich service portfolio as well as of Alcatel-Lucent’s newest technological solutions. TP has already been using Alcatel-Lucent solutions for small and medium-size business customers.
TP has earned the highest certification level in Alcatel-Lucent’s Business Partnership Program, which confirms the operator’s competency in the areas of installation, operations and maintenance of Alcatel-Lucent’s IP telephony systems.
“TP’s co-operation with Alcatel-Lucent benefits both our businesses. It enables us to offer our customers top quality equipment as part of TP solutions, and our partner gains access to a large base of customers who trust us,” said Mariusz Gaca, TP Group’s Business Market Executive Director. “The new agreement complements the portfolio of products, which we either use directly or propose to our customers,” added Mariusz Gaca.
“This expansion of our relationship with TP underscores our partner’s trust in Alcatel‑Lucent and appreciation for our products. The combination of the operator’s competencies and our system’s features will allow even the largest companies to take advantage of a very attractive end-to-end communications solutions offering,” said Andrzej Dulka, President of Alcatel-Lucent’s activities in Poland.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise system is based on open standards, providing a flexible migration path to IP that protects existing investment, while enabling the integration of Unified Communications applications according to individual business plans. The OXE supports more than 500 IP-based and traditional corporate telephony services, enabling customers to share information quickly and securely, any time through methods including voice, email, fax or web-conferencing. A single server is capable of supporting as many as 100,000 users and its high reliability enables it to be used in business-critical areas.
