Paris, April 8, 2009 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that the Hyatt Group is deploying Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise solutions at its new Hyatt Regency Dushanbe (Tajikistan), a five-star hotel opened on March 21st, 2009, in order to offer the highest standard of guest services and enable a wide range of internal communications for its staff.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server provides the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe with a highly scalable solution to organize multimedia call processing for phones with multiple technologies from multiple vendors. It operates via a voice-enabled IP (Internet Protocol) network interconnecting all sites of the hotel with physical connections based on a advanced routing capabilities. This technology will substantially reduce OPEX for the hotel since the installed system can be configured to select the least costly route or carrier.
Alcatel-Lucent’s rich call-handling application also delivers world-class business telephony features to the hotel’s staff and guests.The new communications system enables the hotel to set sophisticated greeting applications with powerful voice-guide services and organize around-the-clock response to incoming calls. With Alcatel-Lucent digital handsets deployed in all 221 rooms and suites, guests enjoy the best multimedia entertainment, easy access to valuable features such as voicemail and wake-up services, and additional customized services.
Mobile functionality is enabled with Alcatel-Lucent DECT handsets, providing any time, anywhere communication for hotel managers. The entire staff enjoys the same applications and level of functionality, streamlining communication among colleagues. With the Alcatel-Lucent platform, Hyatt Regency Dushanbe is connected with the head office and a centralized reservation contact centre to ensure an excellent customer experience.
