Crocs Receives 2010 Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Award
Redwood Shores, CA – October 14, 2010
Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX) is using Oracle SOA Suite 11g as part of a larger business strategy to build an innovative IT system to support its global sales and supply chain network, and to provide a holistic view into the entire supply chain.
In recognition of the company’s innovative use and rapid deployment of Oracle SOA Suite 11g with Oracle Applications, Crocs received an Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Award, part of the Oracle Excellence Awards presented at Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2010.
A world leader in innovative casual footwear for men, women and children sold in 125 countries, Crocs is using Oracle SOA Suite 11g, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack 11g Release 1, helping to ensure access to real-time data from its order management, strategic sourcing and supply chain systems that support its global, multi-channel distribution system.
Crocs is leveraging the standards-based infrastructure and comprehensive connectivity of Oracle SOA Suite 11g to seamlessly integrate six disparate enterprise applications, including warehouse and order management systems, retail point of sale and merchandising systems, e-commerce and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Now, Crocs can support its diverse retail, internet and wholesale business channels that span 363 Crocs retail locations globally, several e-commerce sites around the world and thousands of wholesale and distributor customers.
The solution is live in the Americas and Asia with further rollouts scheduled for completion by February 2011.
“With Oracle SOA Suite 11g, Crocs now has a state-of-the-art integration system that has radically changed the way we support our business, providing near real-time access to data across our enterprise applications,” said Paul Lanham, CIO, Crocs. “This is invaluable to Crocs and how we will do business moving forward.”
“Crocs has a unique and innovative technology strategy that supports the company’s multi-channel, global business,” said Amit Zavery, vice president, Oracle Fusion Middleware. “Oracle SOA Suite 11g is helping Crocs and other retailers achieve rapid business adoption, speed the order-to-cash cycle, and provide greater visibility into operations.”
