This game-changing deal enables DenyAll to consolidate its European leadership, double its size, improve profitability and expand globally.
Paris, May 19th, 2014 – Truffle Capital, a key European player in private equity, the first FCPI (retail funds) manager in terms of performance and historical investor in DenyAll, announced today its support of DenyAll’s external growth strategy, with the acquisition of BeeWare, another European security leader. The merger brings together two pioneers in web application firewalls that have gained the trust of demanding customers in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia through innovation and expertise.
With a revenue as high as €10 million so far this year, DenyAll stands out significantly from the competition. As information technology and the Internet keep gaining traction across industries, application security is becoming a major concern for all companies dealing with the collection and storage of customers’ data and meeting with the challenges of Big Data.
Following DenyAll’s purchase of VulnIT in July 2012, the merger with BeeWare is an important step in the implementation of the company’s build-up strategy. The new DenyAll will benefit from a broader client portfolio and a greater capacity to invest, allowing the company to deliver next-generation application security services to more customers worldwide, in the cloud and through its partner network. Profitability will increase as a result of economies of scale, to support incremental investments in the business.
“Every week, new announcements demonstrate the need to implement such solutions as the one offered by DenyAll, like the massive theft of 1.3 million Orange customers’ personal data last week or the discovery of the Internet security bug Heartbleed, which exposed a confidentiality breach in the widely-used OpenSSL cryptographic software library,” explained Bernard Roques, the co-founder and general director of Truffle Capital. “The recent revelations about the surveillance practices developed by the NSA, the U.S. National Security Agency, turn DenyAll into a key player for all European companies and public administrations willing to protect their customers or users’ data. With application security being no longer a nice-to-have, but an absolute necessity, of which consumers and clients are becoming increasingly aware, DenyAll, the French leader in this domain, has considerable growth potential.”
Customers and partners are invited to join a series of webinars aimed at explaining the goals of the merger and the new corporate strategy:
